Plant genetic resources, due to notable biodivergence and genetic variability of grown species, are of a great importance for Yugoslavia. To the problem of genetic resources was not paid much attention by nether scientific nor broad public. Recently, the interest in this field suddenly increased and institutions were established, while the national programmes have been implemented. This study the scientific, technological and management principles for the implementation of the coherent management system within the field of prevailing field crops from their collection to seed production.
