The agroecological conditions in the vine district of Grocka vineyards (Serbia, Yugoslavia) are favourable for the growth of Frankovka cultivar. The development of young plants during the first four years after the planting was very good, regarding the growth and development of buds, as well as differentiating the fertile buds. The yields which have been obtained in the third and the fourth year of young plants are very good, which makes it reasonable for us to expect that in the sixth the yields will be between 10 and 12 t/ha. The mass of grape bunch, uvological characteristics of the bunch and the berry, as well as the content of sugar and total amount of acids in the fresh grape juice enable a high quantity of the fresh grape juice and the production of quality coloured wines of the Frankovka cultivar.
