A new interspecies cultivar Early Riesling (Riesling Italian x Cunbarat) was acknowledged in 1991. In order to test its productivity fifty grape vines were planted in the varietal collection "Radmilovac" (near Belgrade, Yugoslavia) in 1994. The planting density was 3 x 1 m. Agroecological conditions of the area of Belgrade's Danube basin are favourable for a normal development and fertility of the Early Riesling cultivar. Agrobiological characteristics of this cultivar exhibited in this experiment confirm the data given by some authors (Cindric P., Kovac V.) which have been established in the period of its valorization and acknowledgement. The research will be continued in order to estimente wine quality and the behaviour of the cultivar during the period of full fertility.
