During the 52 weeks of laying Tetra SL and Harco layers were kept in the same house in 3-story semi-stepped cages under the same husbandry and feeding conditions. In every of 13 4-week period from every genotype 30 eggs were used for external and internal egg quality examination. Significant differences between genotypes were found in shell colour and thickness, while in egg weight, yolk colour, albumen height and Haugh units differences between genotypes were insignificant. Regression coefficients confirmed significant influence of layers age on increase of egg weight, shell colour and thickness, and decrease of yolk colour, albumen height and Haugh units score in both genotypes, except yolk colour in Harco, where regression coefficient was insignificant.
