Specific antibodies for chicks virus anaemia (CVA) by means of ELISA test in vaccinated birds were monitored and/or where there was a case of natural expose to this infection. Maternal antibodies for chicks virus anaemia were detected in all parent flocks in the period from the first day to the second week of age. Obtained negative serological results on the presence of specific antibodies for chicks virus anaemia in two week old broiler chicks confirm that there are still a great number of parent flocks which started exploitation without previously acquired immunity. Specific antibodies for chick virus anaemia were found also in offspring flocks which did not receive vaccination what confirms the spreading of this infection and indicate a possibility of this virus to be vertically transmitted.
