Heterotrophic microflora of sands on deposols of the "Drmno" open cast mine [Serbia, Yugoslavia]
1998
Rasulic, N.V. (Institute for Soil Science, Belgrade (Yugoslavia))
The present work cites data on abundance of the total microflora, aminoheterotrophs, and aminoautotrophs in sands on deposols of the "Drmno" open cast mine, Serbia (Yugoslavia). Samples of recently deposited and recultivated sands were taken in winter. Recently deposited clean sands show very low biogenousness, while recently deposited clayey sands have somewhat higher biogenousness. The same phenomenon was noticed in sands sown with black locust. All tested sands have considerably higher content of aminoautotrophic than aminoheterotrophic microorganisms, which indicates greater content of nitrogen in inorganic form than in organic form.
