The trial was set up on a rendzine soil type in the vinicity of Niksic (Grahovo), Montenegro (Yugoslavia). In the paper the results of the effect of various herbicides upon the yield of maize ZPTC 109 are presented. In experiment the following herbicides were included: eradicane 6E + atrazin 500, primextra 500, alahlor E-48, ciatral KSI and atrazin 500. All the variants with herbicides in comparison to the control show very significant or significant differences in the maize grain yield, except the treatment with Alohlor E-48 (in 1992) which, in comparison with the control, did not show any significant importance. The analysis within the variants proved that the only statistically important difference in crops was between the atrazin 500 and alahlor E-48 variants in 1991, whereas there was no statistically significant differences among other treatments.
