The influence of the size of vegetative space and fertilization quantity on the quality of potatoes

The field experiments, with different vegetative spaces and fertilizers, were carried out under various agroecological condition, at the three localities: Golija (1600 m a.s.l.), Kaona (600 m a.s.l.) and Guca (350 m a.s.l.) in Serbia (Yugoslavia). Two domestic (Yugoslav) cultivars were tested: middle-early variety Jelica and early variety Dragacevka. Three sizes of vegetative spaces were examined: a) 1400 square cm/plant (71430 plants/ha), b) 1700 square cm/plant (57140 plants/ha), c) 2100 square cm/plant (47620 plants/ha). The fertilizer quantities were: 1) N90 P130 K280, 2) N120 P130 K280, 3) N150 P130 K280.
