1998
Bulatovic, V.Lj. (Faculty of Technology, Novi Sad (Yugoslavia). Department of Meat Technology)
The possibility of ionizing radiation on elimination of pathogenic Listeria monocytogenes 4b in aerobically packed, artificially contaminated samples of poultry meat. Three different ionizing radiation doses were investigated: 2, 3 and 4 k Gy. The radiated samples were subsequently stored 6 months at the temperature of - 18 deg C. Bacteriological control was performed every 30 days. It was found that Listeria monocytogenes 4b is not sensitive to the applied decontamination processes. The presented results are a part of larger investigation.
