An experiment has been carried out in order to test the possibility of applying the whole sorghum grain as a part (31%) of the maize component in feed mixture for laying hens. Based on the results obtained some general conclusions are given: The whole sorghum grain used in the fed mixture for laying hens resulted in 1.84% better laying ability in hens given such mixture in comparison with hens in control group fed on mixture without sorghum grain; It also seems that birds need some time to get used to the whole sorghum grain; The whole sorghum grain practically had no influence of the egg weight since it was ground that the average egg weight in experimental group was only by 1.62% greater than the same in the control group.
