We investigated effect of time of cutting and way of stringing and training on dried hop cones yield and alfa-acids content. On the basis of results obtained we can concluded that the yield is acceptable even when cutting was performed early in the spring and optimal cutting time lasted longer than for other known varieties. Although the highest yield was obtained when cutting was performed in the end of March (Aroma 2882.2 kg/ha, Robusta 3240.2 kg/ha) acceptable yields were obtained with cutting performed during the whole March and up to mid of April. Although in Robusta variety there are significant differences in alfa-acids content obtained in different times of cutting, there was not found any tendency to increase or decrease alfa-acids content. Contrary to that stringing influenced the yield. The highest yield was obtained in varieties with highest number of wireworks per ha (Aroma 3041.0 kg/ha, Robusta 3266.5 kg/ha). The stringing and training did not influence the alfa-acids content.
