In the experimental fattening of broilers the influence of phytogenic substances (Digestarom R 1305 for oultry and Digestarom R 1317 premium for poultry) was investigated in comparison with negative, that is, positive control (Virginiamycin), on the total of 3440 Ross chicks. The products investigated in this trial showed statistically confirmed positive effect on the growth (Digestarom R 1305 for poultry), that is, the percentage of losses, i.e. mortality (Digestarom R 1317 premium for poultry), in comparison with a negative control. The improvement of utilizing the feed on the level of the group which received Virginiamycin was not attained in the group receiving Digestarom R preparation. Regarding the slaughter value the significant differences were established in the share of meat of more valued parts such as breasts and thigh, as well as in the abdominal fat and total fat, what was opposite to receivinig Virginiamycin (n=120). The influence of Digestarom R for poultry was greater in regard to Digestarom 1317 premium for poultry.
