Double cropping, maize and soybean were investigated as monocrops and intercrops. Density of both species in intercropping was 1/2 compare to monocropping. Crops were cultivated in irrigation conditions. Achieved maize biomass yield (5060 kg/ha) is 9.85% higher compare to soybean yield. Mixtures have higher yield then monocrops, as result of higher soybean yields then expected. Soybean have much higher protein content, crude fat content, Ca and Mg that resulted that mixture contain higher nutrient content compare to monoculture. Monoculture had higher neto energy value in milk and meat production, while mixture had higher per area unit.
