Compressing of soil represents a big problem regarding both the preservation of soil resources and the amount of grain yields. The increased compression of soil directly influences the amount of grain yields and early growth, because in the conditions of increased compressing the receiving of nutritious ingredients is made more difficult, the root system is shallow and develops more weakly, the capacity for air and water is reduced. The purpose and aim of this research were to determine the influence of mulching of soil with PE folium with simultaneous seeding onto the compression of soil and yield of gherkin.
