In the paper the method for determining the soluble lead in the glass ware by the potentiometric stripping analysis (PSA) is defined. The PSA modification is applied with oxygen as an oxidant while for some samples the potentiometric stripping analysis with constant inverse current in the analytic step (PSA-iR) is also applied. The corresponding procedure for sample preparation is adopted while the optimal conditions of the PSA lead are defined. The accuracy of the method is confirmed by parallel analyses with flameless atomic absorption spectrophotometry as a reference method. The analyses are carried out using a computerized stripping analyzer of Yugoslav design and manufacture (Faculty of Technology, Novi Sad, Serbia (Yugoslavia) and "Electrouniverzal", Leskovac, Serbia (Yugoslavia))
