In this paper, the results of investigation on the influence of various concentrations of detergent (MERIX - "Merima", Krusevac, Serbia (Yugoslavia)) on the ecophysiological and biochemical characteristics of the fungi: Aspergillus niger, Fusarium oxysporum and Trichothecium roseum, are presented. The proteolytic activity of these fungi varied as a function of detergent concentration from inhibited to stimulated one. Parallel to this, the tests of occurrence and quantitative ratio of amino acids in the species grown in control medium and in the same medium with addition of detergent in the concentration of 1% were performed. In case of the Aspergillus niger, effect of detergent applied in that concentration on production of amino acids was varied from stimulating to very stimulating, as opposed to the influence on Trichothecium roseum. Influence of detergent, applied in the same concentration, on examined amino acids varied from stimulating (for 12 amino acids) to inhibitory (for 4 amino acids).
