The application of regression analysis in investigation and forecasting of milk production
2002
Mutavdzic, B.
By the application of the method of regression analysis the influence of particular production factors on production results has been studied. The following production factors have been considered: average age per head of cattle, arable soil, time, certain kinds of fodder, and percentage of fodder cost in total cost of milk production. The influence of these factors on the yearly and monthly milk production has been analysed. The validity of the selected regression models on the basis of statistical and econometric test has been evaluated. The evaluated regression models, except for the study of the production factor influence on the obtained production results, have also served for the projection of the yearly and monthly milk production. Statistically, yearly milk production has been significantly affected by the average age per head of cattle and time, and the monthly milk production is influenced by inputs of green soft fodder, fodder concentrate and a season. The quality of milk significantly depends on voluminose green fodder beside green soft fodder and fodder concentrate.
