2002
Bozovic, Dj.
unknown. The myrobalan population in the Upper Polimlje region, Montenegro (Serbia&Montenegro) shows a great genetic variability with regards to the tree vigour, pollen vitality, ripening time, cropping, fruit mass, skin colour, fresh colours, randman and quality, the stone mass, seed germination as well as plant structure and vigour of seedling. Large fruited genotypes with harmonic balance of sugar and acid, to be used in flesh consumption, together with genotypes which flesh doesn't brown after being defrosted, which makes them a suitable raw material for processing industry, have been selected. The genotypes which were considered as important for nursery production were the ones with high seed germination which generative rootstocks have uniform morphological properties and are compatible with standard plum and apricot cultivar.
