Harvest and processing of soya bean seed are of the crucial importance for maintenance of seed quality. Soya been, as a plant species, is particularly susceptible to mechanical injuries in various types of seed handling. Seed quality of three soya bean cultivars of different maturity groups was observed over diverse methods of harvest and processing. The highest germination was detected after manual processing of soya bean seed. Differences over cultivars were greater than those over methods of harvest and processing. The lowest both, germination and tolerance to mashine-operated harvest and processing, were detected in the cultivar Bosa.
