The climatic variability (temperature, precipitation, water balance) is described in the Northern half of France. Reltionship between the climatic variability and the forms of Quercus petraea top height growth curves is tried with a sample of trees from 5 regions : Alsace, Lorraine, Centre, Normandie, Tronçais.

La variabilité climatique (température, précipitations, ETP, ETR) sont décrites à l'échelle de la moitié Nord de la France. La mise en relation de cette variabilité climatique avec la variabilité de la forme des courbes de croissance en hauteur du chêne sessile est testée à partir d'un échantillon d'arbres issus de 5 zones géographiques : Alsace, Lorraine, Centre, Normandie, Tronçais.
