El presente estudio se desarrolla desde la metodología de investigación mixta en el contexto del tratamiento penitenciario en Colombia, el cual tuvo como objetivo diseñar un programa psicoeducativo para prevenir la reincidencia delictiva. Los resultados de la prueba evidencian un alto nivel de distorsiones cognitivas y un pobre repertorio de habilidades de afrontamiento y sociales; variables para tomarse en cuenta, como uno de los factores más, que pueden ser predictores o reforzadores de la conducta delictiva. A partir de estos hallazgos, se diseñó un programa psicoeducativo basado en las cinco dimensiones del aprendizaje propuestas por Robert Marzano; el propósito de dicho programa fue el de reducir los índices de reincidencia delictiva entre la población estudiada. La educación, como eje central del programa propuesto, tiene el potencial de transformar no solo la vida de las participantes, sino también de impactar positivamente en la sociedad al facilitar su reintegración y reducir los índices de criminalidad.

Show more [+] Less [-]The present study is developed from the mixed research methodology in the context of penitentiary treatment in Colombia, which aimed to design a psychoeducational program to prevent criminal recidivism. The test results show a high level of cognitive distortions and a poor repertoire of coping and social skills; variables to be taken into account, as one of the factors that can be predictors or reinforcers of criminal behavior. Based on these findings, a psychoeducational program was designed based on the five dimensions of learning proposed by Robert Marzano, with the purpose of reducing the rates of criminal recidivism among the population studied. Education, as the central axis of the proposed program, has the potential to transform not only the lives of the participants, but also to positively impact society by facilitating their reintegration and reducing crime rates.
