Recuperación de saberes ancestrales de etnoveterinaria en el cantón Gonzanamá

For generations the traditional animal production systems havebeen developed in rural communities, watching closely their animals, their environment where they live and operate, allowing knowing its operation such as the amount of milk and meat producing, number of offspring, including eggs. Moreover, identify, name and cure diseases in different domestic species and ages, according to their ancestral knowledge, using medicinal resources of plants, animals and minerals that have within their reach, differing according to the places of origin being transmitted orally from person to person and from generation to generation. The ancient techniques and herbal medicinal practices were and are a response to the basic needs of family survival; and they must be considered as not only sustainable, convenient and clean technologies, but also sustainable, whereas the relationships that humans establish with their animals. With the purpose of identifying the current status of the herbal medicinal practices this research work was projected, considering the following objectives: 1. Rescue the ancestral knowledge of the inhabitants of the canton Gonzanamá in the field of the herbal practices knowledge. 2. Collect information about knowledge and ancestral practices of the herbal practices ry in canton Gonzanamá, 3. Classify and summarize information herbal medicinal practices, according to their field of knowledge, according to the domestic animal species, 4. Determine which field of knowledge ancient herbal medicinal practices, there is greater mastery and positive practical results. The work comprised 2 months of 2013 (field work); It is framed within the scientific research, being as the prospective, descriptive, quantitative and qualitative application of its variables. The applied technique was the survey, being 202 sample number distributed in the following way: in Nambacola 67 surveys, 41 Gonzanamá surveys, Changaimina 46 surveys, Sacapalca 36 polls and Purunuma 12 surveys. The results allowed to highlight the following: 202 applied survey 100% have knowledge of herbal medicine practices, the species of interest in the sector were poultry with the 84,65%, bovine 73.76%, canines the 9.41% and pigs with the 7.43%. In relation to the frequency of application of treatments in poultry the 52,05% applied treatments 2 times a day in cattle, the 46,31% applied once a day, the canine 57.59% applied once a day, and pigs applied 2 times a day, giving a percentage of 53.33%, indifferent variable as regards bovine animals have a percentage of the 22.82% (being able to apply treatments 1-2 - 3 times a day by the economic value that they represent and gravity of the animal). The ways of implementation of the technical o herbal medicinal practices depending on the treatment and the medical condition being the main; oral representing the 82,67%, local and topic the 75,25%, the 45,54%, ventral bath the 11.88% and in others the 15.35% (small stones, branches of plants, knives). The applied doses are unspecific these are given by previous experiences and the size of the animal. The origins of the ingredients are mainly: the 80,69%, mineral 55,94%, vegetable and animal with the 55,45%. The herbal medicinal practices are mainly used in common diseases and chronic conditions such as colds, diseases of the skin, parasitic infections, wounds, disorders reproductive, diarrhea. In relation to major illnesses; diseases that afflict cattle insistently mentioned from highest to lowest percentage interest: Holland bad ice 39,60%, constipation 27.52%, ticks 11.41%, placental retentions 7,383%, 3,356% pneumonia, the 4,027% warts and others the 6,711% are wounds caused by fighting, foreign bodies. The cough poultry, hens and smallpox are common with the 66,67% and 30.41%, respectively, also diarrhea is another present medical condition with the 1.17%, in others there are wounds caused by fights of roosters that represents the 1.75%. In dogs the 78,95% represents the presence of distemper and the 21.05% fleas. The pigs are mainly attacked by external parasites as piles with 63,33%, scabies that represent the 26.67% and 20,00% representing castration techniques.

Durante generaciones los sistemas de producción animal tradicionales han sido desarrollados en comunidades rurales, observando de cerca sus animales su medio donde viven y desenvuelven, permitiendo conocer su funcionamiento; como la cantidad de leche y carne que producen, número de crías, cantidad de huevos entre otras. A más de identificar, nombrar y curar enfermedades en las diferentes especies domésticas y edades, de acuerdo a sus conocimientos ancestrales, utilizando los recursos medicinales de plantas, animales y minerales que tienen a su alcance, diferenciándose de acuerdo a los lugares de origen siendo transmitida oralmente de persona a persona y de generación a generación. Las antiguas técnicas y prácticas etnoveterinarias fueron y son una respuesta a las necesidades básicas de supervivencia familiar; y deben ser consideradas como tecnologías limpias, convenientes y no sólo sostenibles, sino también sustentables, considerando las relaciones que los humanos establecen con sus animales. Con el propósito de identificar la situación actual de los conocimientos de etnoveterinaria se proyectó este trabajo de investigación, planteando los siguientes objetivos: 1. Rescatar el conocimiento ancestral de los habitantes del cantón Gonzanamá en el campo de los saberes de la etnoveterinaria. 2. Recoger información sobre saberes y prácticas ancestrales de la etnoveterinaria en el cantón Gonzanamá, 3. Clasificar y sintetizar la información etnoveterinaria de acuerdo a su campo de conocimiento, según la especie animal doméstica, 4. Determinar en qué campo de conocimiento ancestral etnoveterinario existe mayor dominio y resultados prácticos positivos. El trabajo abarcó 2 meses de 2013 (Trabajo de campo); se enmarcó dentro de la investigación científica, siendo su carácter de estudio prospectivo, descriptivo, de tipo cuantitativo y de aplicación cualitativa para sus variables. La técnica aplicada fue la encuesta, siendo 202 el número de muestra distribuidas de la siguiente manera; en Nambacola 67 encuestas, Gonzanamá 41 encuestas, Changaimina 46 encuestas, Sacapalca 36 encuestas y Purunuma 12 encuestas. Los resultados permitieron destacar lo siguiente: de las 202 encuestas aplicadas el 100 % tienen conocimientos sobre medicina etnoveterinaria, las especies de mayor interés en el sector fueron las aves de corral con el 84,65 %, bovinos el 73,76%, caninos el 9,41% y en cerdos con el 7,43 %. En lo referente a la frecuencia de aplicación de los tratamientos en aves de corral el 52,05 % aplicaban los tratamientos 2 veces / día, en bovinos el 46,31 % aplicaban 1 vez / día, el caninos 57,59 % aplicaban 1 vez /día y en cerdos aplicaban 2 veces / día dando un porcentaje del 53,33 %, en cuanto a la variable indiferente los bovinos tienen un porcentaje del 22,82 % ( pudiendo aplicar los tratamientos 1-2-3 veces / día por el valor económico que estos representan y la gravedad del animal). Las vías de aplicación de las técnicas etnoveterinarias dependiendo del tratamiento y la dolencia siendo las principales; oral que representa el 82,67 %, local y tópico el 75,25 %, baño el 45,54 %, ventral el 11,88 % y en otros el 15,35% (piedras pequeñas, ramas de plantas, cuchillos). Las dosis aplicadas son inespecíficas estas son dadas por experiencias anteriores y tamaño del animal. Los orígenes de los ingredientes principalmente son: vegetal con el 80,69 %, mineral el 55,94 % y el animal con el 55,45 %. En las técnicas etnoveterinarias son usadas principalmente en enfermedades corrientes y en condiciones crónicas como resfriados, enfermedades de la piel, parasitosis, heridas, desordenes reproductivos, diarreas débiles. En lo referente a las principales dolencias / enfermedades que aquejan con insistencia a los bovinos se mencionan de mayor a menor interés porcentual: hielo / mal de Holanda 39,60 %, secalibro / estreñimiento el 27,52 %, garrapatas 11,41 %, retenciones placentarias el 7,383 %, verrugas el 3,356 %, neumonías el 4,027 % y en otros el 6,711% se encuentran las heridas ocasionados por peleas, cuerpos extraños. El las gallinas de corral la tos y la viruela son comunes con el 66,67 % y 30,41 % respectivamente además la diarrea es otra dolencia presente con el 1,17 %, en otros se encuentran las heridas ocasionadas por peleas de gallos que representa el 1,75 %. En los caninos el 78,95 % representa a la presencia de moquillo y el 21,05 % las pulgas. Los chanchos son atacados principalmente por parásitos externos como los piles con el 63,33 %, la sarna que representa el 26,67 % y 20,00 % que representa las técnicas de castración.
