Strategic planning for the sustainable tourism development of the Pastaza canton | Planificación estratégica para el desarrollo Turístico sostenible del cantón Pastaza

This research evidences the implementation of strategic planning for the promotion of local sustainable tourism development through the implementation of a tourism plan in the Pastaza canton from 2022 to 2027, which constitutes the roadmap for facilitate municipal tourism management, the empowerment of authorities and the strengthening of the coordination and articulation of publicprivate actions in favor of tourism activity. The tourism planning and management instrument is aligned with national planning and is based on current legal regulations, after having assumed the powers from the central government. It was built through the application of qualitative and quantitative methods in the territory with the participation and consensus of actors in the sector; it determines the actions to be carried out through strategic axes in an organized and compatible way with the versatile requirements of demand, supply and local identity.

La presente investigación, evidencia la puesta en marcha de la planificación estratégica, para el fomento del desarrollo turístico sostenible local a través de la implementación de un plan en materia turística en el cantón Pastaza, entre el 2022 y el 2027, que constituye la hoja de ruta para facilitar la gestión turística municipal, el empoderamiento de autoridades y el fortalecimiento de la coordinación y articulación de acciones público – privadas en pro de la actividad turística.nbsp; El instrumento de planificación y gestión turística se alinea a la planificación nacional y se fundamenta en la normativa legal vigente, tras haber asumido las competencias descentralizadas desde el gobierno central. Se construyó a través de la aplicación de métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos en territorio con la participación y consenso de actores del sector; este determina las acciones a ejecutarse mediante ejes estratégicos de forma organizada y compatible con los requerimientos versátiles de la demanda, la oferta e identidad local.
