Show more [+] Less [-]HSFA9, a seed-specific factor, enhances the expression of light receptors and genes required for chlorophyll biosynthesis before germinating seeds are illuminated. HSFA9 subsequently augments phytochrome-mediated responses and stimulates seedling greening.
