Show more [+] Less [-]A detailed geomorphological study has been made of the moving dune system in the Doñana National Park and the system differentiated into "morphoedaphic elements". These are considered the simplest units composing the landscape, in which a strong relationship can be observed between the soils and the characteristic vegetation. Parallel to the recognized morphoedaphic elements, the soils evolve as a result of two processes: hydromorphy and substratum stabilization. Finally, a common evolutionary soil-geomorphology catena is established.
