Show more [+] Less [-]Cannabis sativa L. has played an important role in various aspects of human life and has been used for millennia in traditional medicine, for ritual purposes and for production of food and fibres. The long coexistence and management of C. sativa by people have resulted in a worldwide distribution and a wide range of cultivars, varieties, and strains, with high genetic, morphological, and chemical diversity. This study aims at investigating whether such diversity is associated with changes in genome size.
