The research focuses on the study of the submarine fans of the Orinoco (area of Venezuela) and the Magdalena (area of Colombia) and will address the study of the recent sedimentary record (less than 5 million years) from the most shallow environments of the continental margin (300 meters deep) to the deepest environments such as the ocean basins to more than 5000 meters deep
