Paula Alexandra da Graca Morais
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the adhesiveness and invasiveness of Campylobacter sp. isolated from calves, swine, broilers, dogs and non-human primates by the gentamicin assay. Sixty-three Campylobacter sp. strains were tested for in vitro adherence and invasiveness in HeLa cells. Our results demonstrate that C. jejuni, C. coli e C. fetus subsp. fetus isolated from animals has were able to adhere to and to invade HeLa cells.
