Bisphenol A Degradation Through Sono-Fenton-Like Reaction Using Antivirus Copper Film | 항균 구리 필름을 이용한 초음파 유사 펜톤 반응을 통한 비스페놀 A 의 제거 연구

본 연구에서는 초음파와 서로 다른 산화제 (과산화수소(H2O2)와 과황산(PDS))를 사용하여 유사 펜톤 촉매로서 폐 향균 구리 필름(CF)의 수처리 촉매 이용 가능성을 확인하였다. H2O2와 CF의 반응은 초음파(US) 조사에 의해 크게 향상되었다. 광루미네선스 분석을 이용하여 과산화수소 시스템에서의 수산화 라디칼의 생성을 비교하였다. CF-H2O2-US 공정에서 비스페놀 A (BPA) 분해는 용액 pH, 온도, 초음파 출력, CF 크기, H2O2 농도 및 초기 BPA 농도의 영향을 받았다. CF-H2O2-US 공정 효율은 염소 이온과 탄산 이온이 있을 때 각각 전체적으로 혹은 부분적으로 증진되었다. 화학적 스캐빈저 테스트를 통해 자유 수산화 라디칼과 표면 결합 수산화 라기칼 모두 과산화수소를 사용한 초음파 유사 펜톤 과정에서 BPA 분해에 참여하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 과산화수소를 사용한 초음파 유사 펜톤 과정에서 CF 표면의 작용기와 구리 결정은 5회 연속 재사용 후에도 변화가 없었고, CF의 BPA 분해효율은 재사용 과정에서도 80% 이상 유지됐다. 이후 US 조사 하에서 PDS 산화제의 BPA 분해효율을 H2O2와 비교하였다. PDS는 초음파 및 초음파에서 유래된 열을 통해 효과적으로 활성화되었다. 또한 시스템에서 CF의 존재는 BPA 분해를 증가시키는 것으로 확인되었다. 3개의 단일 시스템(US, PDS, CF)과 3개의 듀얼 시스템(US-PDS, US-CF, PDS-CF) 그리고 1개의 트리플 시스템(US-PDS-CF)의 성능을 비교한 결과 트리플 시스템에서 30분 이내에 99.51%의 BPA를 제거하며 가장 높은 성능을 보였다. 화학적 스캐빈저 테스트를 통해 과황산을 사용한 초음파 유사 펜톤 과정에서 황산 라디칼이 주된 BPA 분해 참여 라디칼인 것을 확인하였다. 또한 과황산을 사용한 BPA 분해 과정에서 각 인자가 BPA 감소 성능에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다(온도(46.83%) > 초기 PDS 농도(40.54%) > 초음파 출력(12.63%)). 과황산을 사용한 초음파 유사 펜톤 과정에서 CF의 BPA 분해효율은 재사용 과정에서도 95% 이상 유지됐다. 결과적으로 CF는 유사 펜톤의 촉매로 사용될 수 있으며, 초음파의 사용을 통해 촉매 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다.

This study investigated the applicability of antivirus copper film (CF) as a Fenton-like catalyst using different oxidizing agents (hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) & peroxydisulfate (PDS)) under ultrasound irradiation. The reaction activity of H2O2 and CF in combination was significantly enhanced by ultrasound (US) irradiation. Photoluminescence analyses were conducted to compare the generation of hydroxyl radicals during hydrogen peroxide system. In this CF-H2O2-US process, bisphenol A (BPA) degradation was affected by solution pH, temperature, ultrasound power, CF size, H2O2 dose, and initial BPA concentration. CF-H2O2-US process efficiency was totally and partially enhanced in the presence of chloride and carbonate ions, respectively. Chemical scavenger tests showed that both free and surface-bound hydroxyl radicals participate in BPA degradation under the sono-Fenton-like process using CF with H2O2. The functional groups and copper crystals on the CF surface remained unchanged after five consecutive reuses, and the BPA degradation efficiency of CF was maintained over 80% during the reuse processes as a sono-Fenton-like catalyst with H2O2.The BPA degradation efficiency of PDS as an oxidizing agent was compared to H2O2 under US irradiation. PDS was effectively activated by ultrasound and through ultrasound-derived heat. The presence of CF in the system was also observed to significantly enhance BPA degradation. The performance of three single systems (US, PDS, and CF), three dual systems (US-PDS, US-CF, and PDS-CF), and one triple system (US-PDS-CF) were compared, triple system exhibited the highest BPA degradation of 99.51% within 30 min. Chemical scavenger tests showed that sulfate radicals mainly participate in BPA degradation under the sono-Fenton-like process using CF in PDS system. Furthermore, The effect of operating parameters on degradation efficacy in peroxydisulfate system was investigated (temperature (46.83%) > initial PDS concentration (40.54%) > ultrasound power (12.63%)). The BPA degradation efficiency of CF was maintained over 95% during the reuse processes as a sono-Fenton-like catalyst with PDS. As a result, CF could be used as Fenton-like catalyst, it’s catalytic performance could be improved by US.
