Ein wichtiger Meilenstein auf dem Ende der 80er Jahre begonnenen Weg zur Einführung von Elektronik in der Landtechnik und Landwirtschaft ist die Entwicklung und Implementierung von ISOBUS als internationaler Standard für die Traktor-Geräte-Kommunikation auf der Basis des CAN- Kommunikationsstandards ISO 11898 'Road vehicles - Controller area network (CAN)'. ISOBUS bildet die gemeinsame Spezifikation der Hersteller, um die internationale Norm ISO 11783 'Serial control and communications data network' umzusetzen. Die Anwendung der ISOBUS Normenreihe hat inzwischen in vielen Teilen technische Lösungen hervorgebracht, die System- und Herstellerunabhängigkeit gewährleisten.

At the end of the 80's an important milestone in the introduction of electronics in agricultural technology and agriculture was the development and implementation of ISOBUS as an international standard for tractor implement communication, based on the CAN communication standard ISO 11898 "Road vehicles - Controller area network (CAN)". ISOBUS is the common manufacturer specification for implementing the international standard ISO 11783"Serial control and communications data network". In the meantime, the application of the ISOBUS standard series has provided technical solutions for numerous areas, which guarantee independence from systems and manufacturers.
