Identificação de regiões hidrologicamente homogêneas e comportamento das vazões média e mínima regionalizadas | Identification of hydrologically homogeneous regions and behavior of long-term average streamflow and minimum streamflow regionalizated

A regionalização de vazões é uma técnica amplamente utilizada para estimar a disponibilidade hídrica em seções desprovidas de medições. Um dos primeiros passos em um estudo de regionalização de vazões é a identificação de regiões hidrologicamente homogêneas (RHH), entretanto esta é considerada a etapa mais subjetiva e trabalhosa, pois existem diversas metodologias para este fim, sendo que não há um consenso de qual é a mais apropriada. Este trabalho teve como objetivos: identificar, para a parte mineira da bacia do rio Doce, as RHH com base em três metodologias, denominadas análise de cluster, entropia e conveniência geográfica; e avaliar o comportamento estatístico e físico das vazões mínima e média regionalizadas. As variáveis dependentes utilizadas no estudo foram a vazão média de longa duração (Q mld ) e a vazão mínima com 7 dias de duração associada a um período de retorno de 10 anos (Q 7,10 ), enquanto que a variável independente foi a vazão equivalente ao volume precipitado menos 750 mm (Peq 750 ). Pela análise de cluster obteve-se três agrupamentos de RHH, denominados 'Cluster 1', 'Cluster 2' e 'Cluster 3, enquanto que pela análise a partir da entropia obteve- se um agrupamento, denominado 'Entropia', e pela análise considerando a conveniência geográfica obteve-se três agrupamentos, denominados 'Geo 1', 'Geo 2' e 'Geo 3'. Pela análise estatística se evidenciou que os comportamentos estatísticos dos agrupamentos 'Geo 2' e 'Geo 3' foram superiores aos demais, enquanto que para os resultados para os agrupamentos 'Entropia' e 'Geo 1' foram os piores. Na análise de comportamento físico, os agrupamentos 'Cluster 1', 'Cluster 2', 'Entropia' e 'Geo 1' apresentaram comportamentos inconsistentes e foram considerados não satisfatórios para a regionalização da Q mld e da Q 7,10 , enquanto que, dentre os agrupamentos considerados satisfatórios, 'Cluster 3' apresentou o comportamento físico mais consistente.

Streamflow regionalization is a widely used technique to estimate water availability in sections devoid of measurements. One of the first steps in a study of Streamflow regionalization is the identification of hydrologically homogeneous regions (RHH), however this is considered the most subjective and laborious step, because there are several methods for this purpose and there is no consensus on which one is more apropriatte . This study aimed to: identify, for the Minas Gerais State part of the Doce river basin, the RHH based on three methodologies, called cluster analysis , entropy and geographical convenience and to evaluate the statistical and physical behavior of regionalizated minimum and average streamflow. The dependent variables used in the study were the long-term average streamflow (Q mld ) and the minimum streamflow of seven days duration associated with a ten years return period (Q 7,10 ) duration, while the independent variable was the streamflow equivalent to the rainfall volume minus 750 mm (Peq750). By cluster analysis yielded three groupings of RHH, called 'Cluster 1', 'Cluster 2' and 'Cluster 3', while the analysis based on the entropy obtained a grouping called 'Entropy', and the analysis considering the geografical convenience obtained three groupings, termed 'Geo 1', 'Geo 2' and 'Geo 3'. By statistical analysis disclosed that the statistical behavior of the groupings 'Geo 2' and 'Geo 3' were superior to the others, while for the results to 'Entropy' and 'Geo 1' were the worst. In the analysis of physical behavior, the 'Cluster 1', 'Cluster 2', 'Entropy' and 'Geo 1' groupings showed inconsistent behavior and were considered insatisfactory for the regionalization of Q mld and Q 7,10 , whereas among groups considered satisfactory, 'Cluster 3' showed the most consistent physical behavior.
