abstractPL: Niniejsza praca dyplomowa dotyczy wpływu budowy oraz rozwoju kolej na krajobraz naturalny. Przedmiotem opracowania jest, położona w południowo-zachodniej Polsce, linia kolejowa Kłodzko-Wałbrzych. Jest to unikatowa w skali kraju linia kolejowa, zarówno pod względem przebiegu, jak i występującej infrastruktury kolejowej. Pracę rozpoczęto krótkim wstępem odnośnie roli kolei w rewolucji przemysłowej oraz tym jak wpłynęła na rozwój ludzkości. Część główną pracy dyplomowej podzielowo na trzy etapy. W etapie pierwszym opisano przyjęte w pracy metody analityczne oraz badawcze wraz z towarzyszącą literaturą naukową. Drugi etap polegał na analizie dostępnych materiałów historycznych, archiwalnych oraz naukowych, takich jak dane geodezyjne oraz satelitarne. Trzeci etap to analiza wpływu całości linii oraz poszczególnych jej elementów na zmiany w krajobrazie. Wyróżniono tu wpływ poszczególnych obiektów inżynierskich, takich jak mosty, wiadukty oraz tunele na ukształtowanie krajobrazu. W dalszej części poddano analizie wpływ linii kolejowej na poszczególne miejscowości. Ostatnią częścią była próba analizy wpływu istnienia linii na cały region Dolnego Śląska. Pracę dyplomową zakończono podsumowaniem oraz określeniem szans i dróg rozwoju regionu Dolnego Śląska w przyszłości.

abstractEN: This diploma thesis concerns the impact of railway construction and development on the natural landscape. The subject of the study is the Kłodzko-Wałbrzych railway line located in south-western Poland. It is a railway line unique in the scale of the country, both in terms of its route and the existing railway infrastructure. The work began with a short introduction to the role of the railroad in the industrial revolution and how it influenced the development of mankind. The main part of the diploma thesis is divided into three stages. The first stage describes the analytical and research methods adopted in the work, together with the accompanying scientific literature. The second stage was to analyze the available historical, archival and scientific materials, such as geodetic and satellite data. The third stage is the analysis of the impact of the entire line and its individual elements on changes in the landscape. The influence of individual engineering structures, such as bridges, viaducts and tunnels on the landscape was distinguished here. In the next part, the impact of the railway line on individual localities was analyzed. The last part was an attempt to analyze the impact of the existence of the line on the entire region of Lower Silesia. The diploma thesis ended with a summary and definition of opportunities and paths for the development of the Lower Silesia region in the future.
