English. The purpose of the study was to determine the relation between the levels of some biochemical components in stallion semen plasma and semen freezability in stallions aged 5, 6, and 7 years. It is important to establish stallion age at which semen has the highest capacity for freezing. The present observations showed that sperm freezability corresponds with sperm motility and concentration in raw semen. It was also found that the semen freezability of 7-year-old stallions is better (66% ejaculates after thawing were qualified for AI) than in 5- and 6-year-olds from which 57% of ejaculates after thawing were suitable for AI. However, there were no significant differences between analysed semen plasma components.
