Field operation planning and production technology evaluation by means of information technology

English. The aim of the paper it to present features of software that faciliates farm management. As an example, software named Bitfarma is used. It makes possible recording the events taking place on farms and in this way enables effective management of production process. The paper includes description of the Bitfarma software structure: its components, type of input and obtained information, i.e. the way of creating the data base is presented, as well as economic evaluation of the winter wheat production process applied on a family farm. The use of the software that facilitates farm management brings a lotof conveniences; nevertheless, it requires professional training of its potential useres. When introducing this kind of tool for farm management one must take into account additional costs of purchasing a computer and the software, as well as the costs of constant supplementary education.
