Photophysical properties of 6-N,N-dimethylpyrazolo[3,4-b]quinoline substituted with pyridyl in the 3-position

English. The new electron donor-acceptor dye, 6-N,N-dimethyl-3-pyridyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]quinoline (DMA-3PPhPQ) was synthesized. Spectral properties of DMA-3PPhPQ were investigated in a great number of organic solvents with different polarity. The red shifts in absorption and fluorescence maxima with increasing polarity of the solvents was observed for various functions of polarity of the solvents. This compound exhibit a CT fluorescence.
