Relación del peso al nacer con el peso al destete y el peso a los 18 meses en un hato de cría brahman en Tame Arauca

Se realizó un estudio en una ganadería de Brahman gris puro, ubicada en Tame Arauca, para conocer las relaciones entre variables productivas: peso al nacer (PN), peso al destete (PD) y peso a los 18 meses (P18) durante periodo de nueve años. Los promedios y desviación estándar obtenido durante los nueve años fueron, para PN 37,40±5,25 kg machos, 34,78±4,65 kg hembras, PD 254,58±40,81 kg machos, 235,72±36,23 kg hembras, P18 meses 344,05±75,42 kg machos, 303,28±60,29 kg hembras. Se observó un aumento en el PN de 8 kg para machos y 6 para hembras, igual sucedió con el PD se incrementó 18 kg para machos y 17 kg hembras.
