The production was developed in a rustic way in winter time. Proposal it was developed a protocol for the production forage, as well as an xii evaluation of its nutritional quality and palatability. The last one was tested with the herbivorous animals selected from the collection. A germinative module was designed with recycled materials. The growth of germinal, the environmental temperature, and time of irrigation were measured during the production. The nutritional quality of germinal was evaluated by means of Van Soest analysis. Once the production phase ended, the fodder was offered to animals to assess the palatability by cafeteria tests. GHF was obtained from oats and wheat at an average temperature of 10.4 ° C. After 15 days of the start of the process, fodder oats enlarged in 4.7 times its weight, while wheat 5.1 times. This forage has a better digestibility according to laboratory analysis and because it is a young plant, it provides an excellent food for the animals selected except for the birds and the dwarf deer. On the other hand, the germinative module served as an educational display at the Zoo. Finally, we can design and produce GHF of wheat and oats in a rustic way in Buin Zoo as well as offering greater nutritional quality hay. The GHF is palatable for the majority of targeted animals.
