El proyecto productivo de maracuyá (Passiflora edulis For. Flavicarpa), se implementó en la Institución Educativa Agropecuaria de Villa Germania, del municipio de Valledupar Cesar, modelo de innovación agrícola que muestra un ejercicio continúo basado en prácticas técnicas, visionado a una inclusión familiar y mejora continua, por medio del cual se generen nuevos empleos e ingresos monetarios a las familias campesinas de esta región, y, la oportunidad de aprender sobre nuevas estrategias de producción; este proyecto fue elaborado en busca del fortalecimiento de las prácticas agrícolas, con un enfoque enmarcado en la diferenciación de los cultivos y manejos realizados en esta zona. Con esta fruta tropical se puede realizar gran variedad de exquisitas bebidas, postres y helados, existe además la posibilidad de ofrecer el producto tanto en fruta como en pulpa, lo que convierte a el maracuyá en un producto bastante apetecido en toda la región caribe colombiana y en el mercado internacional, siendo en la actualidad gran potencial de exportación.
