Use of Alachlor Mixing with Paraquat for Weed Control in Maize | การควบคุมวัชพืชในข้าวโพดโดยการใช้สาร Alachlor ผสมกับ Paraquat

English. The experiment was conducted at Mae Hea Farm Research Station, Chiang Mai University. The study was designed to determine the efficacy of alachlor (2-chloro-2',6'-demethyl-N- (methoxymethyl)acetanilide) tank mixed with paraquat (1,1'-dimethyl-4,4’bipyridinium dichloride) for controlling weed in maize (var. Suwan 1). Herbicides were treated at 1 day after planting with the spray volume of 500 l/ha with knapsack sprayer. The land had prepared 2 weeks before herbicide application. Some weeds were germinated before herbicides application. The results showed that alachlor at the rates of more than 1.8 kg (ai)/ha gave excellent control of both annual grass weeds; Digitaria adscendens and Eleusine indica and broadleaf weeds; Amaranthus spinosus, Ageratum conyzoides, Euphorbia hirta, Phyllanthus niruri, Cloeme vicosa and Eclipta alba. A tank mixed of paraquat with alachlor provided more weed control efficacy than alachlor applied alone. The application of alachlor alone or alachlor mixing with paraquat had no phytotoxicity symptom in maize after treated. The use of alachlor alone at the rate of 1.2-2.4 kg (ai)/ha could increase yield of maize up to 11-38% compared with non-weeding plot. The combination of alachlor and paraquat gave higher yield of maize up to 18-33%.

Thai. ทำการทดลองที่สถานีวิจัยแม่เหียะ คณะเกษตรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ การทดลองเพื่อศึกษาประสิทธิภาพการควบคุมวัชพืชในข้าวโพด (พันธุ์สุวรรณ 1) ของสาร Alachlor (2-chloro-2',6'-demethyl-N- (methoxymethyl)acetanilide) และ Paraquat (1,1'-dimethyl-4,4’bipyridinium dichloride) โดยพ่นสารเคมีแบบก่อนงอก ภายหลังจากการปลูกข้าวโพด 1 วัน ด้วยถังแบบสะพายหลัง (Knapsack sprayer) ซึ่งมีปริมาณน้ำ (Spray volume) 80 ลิตร/ไร่ ได้ทำการเตรียมดินก่อนปลูกข้าวโพด 2 สัปดาห์ ซึ่งก่อนการพ่นสารกำจัดวัชพืชได้มีวัชพืชบางชนิดงอกขึ้นมาแล้ว ผลการทดลองพบว่า การใช้สาร Alachlor เดี่ยว ๆ ในอัตราที่สูงกว่า 288 กรัมสารออกฤทธิ์/ไร่ จะมีประสิทธิภาพในการควบคุมวัชพืชทั้งประเภทใบแคบวงศ์หญ้า ได้แก่ หญ้าตีนนก (Digitaria adscendens) และ หญ้าตีนกา (Eleusine indica) และใบกว้าง ได้แก่ ผักโขมหนาม (Amaranthus spinosus) สาบแร้งสาบกา (Ageratum conyzoides) ผักยาง (Euphorbia hita) ลูกใต้ใบ (Phylanthus niruri) ผักเสี้ยนผี (Cloeme vicosa) และกะเม็ง (Eclipta alba) ได้ดีเยี่ยม  การใช้สาร paraquat ผสมกับสาร Alachlor จะสามารถควบคุมวัชพืชได้ดีขึ้น เมื่อเทียบกับการใช้สาร Alachlor เดี่ยว ๆ อย่างไรก็ตามการใช้สาร Alachlor เดี่ยว ๆ หรือผสมกับสาร Paraquat ไม่มีผลทำให้ข้าวโพดแสดงอาการเป็นพิษแต่อย่างใดโดยที่การใช้สาร Alachlor เดี่ยว ๆ อัตรา 192-384 กรัมสารออกฤทธิ์/ไร่ จะสามารถเพิ่มผลผลิตของข้าวโพดได้ 21-38% เทียบกับสภาพที่ไม่มีการกำจัดวัชพืช  ในขณะที่การใช้สาร Alachlor ผสมกับสาร Paraquat จะทำให้ผลผลิตสูงขึ้น18-33%
