1983

The results of this study show that the height of plant was increased by increasing N levels particularly 60 and 80 kg N/ha, the number of tillers were increased by increasing nitrogen levels from nil to 60 or 80 kg N/ha at the age of 110 days also leaf area index were increased only by the higher levels of nitrogen, the leaf stem ratio was also increased by higher levels of nitrogen (80 kg N/ha), while dry matter content was decreased by application of nitrogen particularly the highest level (80 kg/ha)
