Sarawak pepper exports in January 1983

Sarawak exported 1,086 tons of pepper valued at M$3,352,000. Compared with 1,814 tons shipped in December, this represented a decline of 728 tons or 40.1% in terms of physical volume and was axxounted for solely by the marked decrease in black pepper exports despite the improvement in average FOB prices of slightly ove $100 a ton.
