Sixtyfive male Chios lambs were used to study the effects of restricted (RS) or ad libitum (CS) feeding of milk replacer, and restricted suckling (NRS) on lamb growth. NRS lambs grew fastest; CS lambs grew faster than RS lambs but RS lambs had leaner carcasses. Data on the composition of rumen fluids are also presented
