Effective methods of controlling Japanese apple canker (Valsa ceratosperma Maire) were studied. The mycelium growth on the PDA medium was inhibited at pH 12 and completely stopped at pH 13. The best mycelium growth was obtained at pH 4. To develop effective control methods of canker disease some chemicals were sprayed in the dormant season
