Problems with the control of pests of corn [Zea mays L.] and sorghum [Sorghum bicolor] in storage (Philippines)
1982
Rejesus, B.M.
In the Philippines, pest control of storage insects is often difficult since the humidity and temperature are favorable for their continued development throughout the year. The problem with the control of pests of stored corn and sorghum can be classified into six categories: 1) lack of understanding of the pest problems in storage, 2) lack of information on loss estimates, 3) lack of information on methods of control, 4) inadequate storage facilities, 5) lack of training in stock and insect management, and 6) residues and insecticide resistance
