This paper investigates changes in the meiosis of the hybrids bred at the Cereals institute in Kragujevac (SFRY) and of the foreign Triticale line. F2 and F3 generations of the hybrids were investigated. -In F2 hybrids there were 45.6%-82.6% cells with regular division, with the number of univalents in a cell 2-8. -The average number of cells with regular division in all tested F2 plants was 63%; with 2 univalents-18.9%; with 4 univalents-10.5%; with 6 univalents-5.9%; with 8 univalents-1.7%. -In the metaphase I in F3 hybrids there were 52.6%-77.5% cells with regular division, 18.7% cells with 2 univalents, 10.5% cells with 4 univalents, 2.9% with 6 univalents and 0.4% with 8 univalents. The F3 plants showed better regularity in the metaphase than F2 plants. -F2 hybrids had 57.8%-85.9% cells with regular division in the anaphase I. The number of remaining chromosomes was 2-6. On the average, all the combinations tested had 71.6% cells with regular division, 15.5% cells with 2, 9.6% with 4 and 3.2% with 6 remaining chromosomes. -In the anaphase I the hybrids F3 had 75.6% cells with regular division, 15.5% with 2, 7.8% with 4 and 0.9% cells with 6 remaining chromosomes, on the average. -In the tested Triticale lines the number of cells with regular division in metaphase I was 86.7% and there were few cells with 2 and 4 univalents. In the anaphase I the average number of cells with regular division was 92.6%.
