1983
Reza, A. (Bangladesh Agricultural Univ., Mymensingh (Bangladesh). Dept. of Animal Nutrition) | Sarkar, K.
An experiment with 72 cross bred (Aseel X Australorp) growing pullets of same age was conducted for twelve weeks. Four rations termed as T1 T2 T3 and T4 were used in the experiment, where T1 was the basal and the remaining three were testing rations. The rations were made isocaloric and isonitrogenous. The feed efficiency of the bird were 6.40, 6.75, 8.20 and 8.40 g of feed/g body weight gain and feed cost per bird were taka 20.85, 19.42, 18.77 and 18.25 in treatments T1 T2 T3 and T4 respectively. Though the body weight gain and feed efficiency of the birds decreased linearly with increasing levels of cowdung in the ration, by the differences between treatments and replications were not statistically significant (P0.05)
