Effect of some growth regulants on yield of three cultivars of aroids [local variety of Bangladesh]

The growth regulants Gibberellic Acid (GA3), Potassium Naphthenate (KNap) and Cycocel (CCC) were tested at different concentrations to observe their effect on the growth and yield of three cultivars of aroids namely, Pani Kachu, Mukhi Kachu and Panchamukhi Kachu. The concentrations were 5,10 and 20 ppm for GA; 5,100 and 200 ppm for KNap and 50, 100 and 200 for CCC. All the chemicals had shown significant effect on the height of plant, length of the root stock, weight of root stock, number of cormels and finally yield. The growth parameters and consequently the yield of different cultivars of aroids affected differently by the growth regulants used
