Evaluation of pumpkin varieties under low covering

The pumpkin varieties Cobocolocytho, Thessalonikis (local varieties), Abondanza, Store's Green, Cocozelle and Cazerta, were tested under low covering conditions during the years 1972, 1973 and 1974. The local variety Cobocolocytho gave the best yield. This is not really a pure variety and has the higher consumption in Central and South Greece. The second high yielding variety was the Thessalonikis one, prefered especially in North Greece. Among the rest varieties the Abondanza seems to be the most interesting
