The partial correlation as well as partial regression studies undertaken included the importance of number of bolls per plant, boll weight, number of sympodia per plant and seed index in influening seed cotton yield. Multiple correlation studies revealed that 97.39% total variability for seed cotton yield could be accounted by all the eight yield contributing characters studied
