Effect of different levels of NPK and method of application on potato yield and starch content

NPK application increased the potato tuber yield significantly. The maximum tuber yield of 24.02 t/ha was recorded in the treatment T15. (220:110: 220 kg N:P205:K20/ha respectively). Fertilizer application below the potato tuber at a depth of 15 cm was found significantly superior to the broadcasting method. The starch content was significantly affected by the different levels of fertilizer. The highest starch content (24.51 per cent) was observed in the treatment T16 (220:00:220 kg N:P205:K20/ha respectively)
